The Demon
Etrigan the demon was summoned from Hell by Merlin the magician as a last-ditch attempt to save Camelot from the forces of Morgaine le Fay. Despite the Demon's power, Camelot was destined to fall, so Merlin saved the Demon for future use by bonding him to a human named Jason Blood.
Now immortal, Jason Blood lived for centuries while containing the Demon. When the need arises, Blood can become Etrigan through a magical verse. The Demon, while a creature of Hell, has been influenced by his bond with Blood, and will often fight for good, depending on his writer.
