Liberty Belle
In the 1940's, war correspondent Libby Lawrence had a small medal in the shape of the Liberty Bell, made from pieces of the actual bell. She discovered that while wearing the medal when the Liberty Bell was rung, she would gain increased speed, strength and stamina. So of course she put a funny costume and started fighting crime, naming herself Liberty Belle. She later became the chairwoman of the wartime supergroup All-Star Squadron, where she met his future husband, Johnny Quick.
While their relationship was never smooth, Johnny and Liberty Belle had a daughter, Jesse Quick, who inherited their powers. Johnny and Libby eventually divorced, and Libby is in semi-retirement.
