The Orphan
Guy Smith's mutant powers of super-sensitivity started in his early teens, roughly same time his parents were killed in a mysterious house fire. Left orphaned, Guy worked with Professor X to create a suit to control his mutant senses.
Becoming the leader of the media-obsessed mutant X-Force team, the Orphan struggled with his powers and depression, playing Russian Roulette as a bizarre form of relief. His teammate U-Go Girl helped him with work through his issues, and they began a romantic relationship. When U-Go Girl died, the Orphan renamed the team X-Statix to honor her dying request.
The Orphan stayed with X-Statix and was replaced as leader by the Anarchist. He was killed during the ill-fated last X-Statix mission.
