Spider-Slayer Robot
The Spider-Slayers were a series of robots designed and built by Spencer Smythe for the sole purpose of capturing Spider-Man. After several non-successful attempts, Smythe would become obsessed with the goal of defeating Spider-Man, and created a wide variety of Spider-Slayers before his death.
This Spider-Slayer is an original creation and have never appeared in any comic. I made him out of a desire to use a spare Salaak Minimate and random spare parts. I finally decided that he was a Spider-Slayer rebuilt from an alien robot that Smythe has recovered. The organic, spider-like parts combined with the mechanical robot parts made for a powerful yet bizzare-looking robot. But Smythe was never sure if the robot's original programming had been successfully erased …
